MWSR:
Let me first say WHY, what made you build a
Mark VIII and not a town car?
Can’t get with the 4 doors
MWSR:
When did you purchase the Mark VIII and how
long did the process take in fixing it up?
I bought the car about a year and a half ago. Been fixing it
up ever since.
MWSR:
So when you first purchase the Mark VIII what
was your plans and Idea’s for changing the game for any others
wanting to build a Mark VIII?
These cars are a blast. Just planned on putting together a
clean car that was fun to drive.
MWSR:
How long have you been hookin up your cars,
and how many rides have you hooked up?
Been customizing cars for 6 years. Couldn’t tell you how many
cars I have hooked up.
MWSR:
A few years ago hydro’s was the thing to have
on your ride and was the best thing to ride. What happen to change
that and turn people to fast bags?
Air ride is cleaner. Also no batteries to charge. And you
gotta love the sound…….. pssssshhhh
MWSR:
Where was all the work done on the car and
what had to be done to get the 22’s to fit with no rubbin when the
car was down?
The car was built at our shop Big Papa’s in Cincinnati. In
order to lay out on the twos and still drive the spindles were
extended just to fit the 22’s. Then the unibody was cored out and
reinforced. The quarters and fenders were trimmed out and the air
ride installed.
MWSR:
With the Mark VIII being so clean what happens
when it rains, I bet you go runnin for a shelter till the rain stops
right?
Rain sucks but you gotta get there. The car aint no fun if
you don’t drive it. Sometimes it gets a little wet. Oh well you can
clean it up again.
MWSR:
What is the reaction when you pull up some
were. How do your friends and family feel about it? I’m sure trips
to the gas station turn into an event!
People usually think it is a brand new car. Most people don’t
recognize what kind of car it is.
MWSR:
I know the Blue Lights turn on when you pass,
what is there reaction? (any tickets)
Got the new Bluetooth K-40 for that. Radar detector and laser
jamer.
MWSR:
Have you showcased the Mark VIII in any shows
since it was done?
Most recently the Calvalcade of Customs in Cincinnati. But
the Lincoln will be dragin to a city near you.
MWSR:
What type of paint did you go with and what
made you chose that?
Always wanted a two tone. Just like the grey and charcoal
colors.
MWSR:
As far as the rims what kind are they and why
did you chose those?
22” Driv Dons. Picked them because they are a lot of chrome.
MWSR:
What other plans do you have for the Mark VIII
in the future?
Putting the Davin Streetspins when they come out. Havent had
any spinners for a while.
MWSR:
Do you think you will ever part ways or sell
this pristine Mark VIII?
Probably not. This is my third one I have owned. 97-98 are
the last two years they made them and parts are becoming obsolete
fast.
MWSR:
Any people you want to thank for making this
MARK VIII what is today friends etc.?
All the crew at Big Papas – B.Strange, Chocolate, Baker,
Buck, Jamie for the guts, Nolands Unique paint and body, the twins,
wyatt, jd, and of course fat Greg.
Well let me tell you thanks, and I’m sure after this you got people
back in the lab coming up with something to throw at you. But the
quest to be King of Mark VIII’s just stopped here and you are
wearing the crown. From all of us at Midwest Street Ryders keep
ridin CLEAN and pushing the LIMITS. Once again folks, I’ll tell you
it’s Mark VIII’s 22’s, fast bags and drippin wet 2 tone paint! Come
wetter or don’t come at all!
