Let me first say WHY the Nerds theme, and how did this BOX all come about?
JAY: I WAS IN THE STORE ONE DAY AND BECAUSE OF THE COLORS ON THE CANDY BOX.
MWSR:
When did you purchase the Box Chevy and how long did the process take to get it to look as good as it does now?
JAY:
I PURCHASED IT IN DECEMBER OF 04. IT TOOK ABOUT 5-6 MONTHS BECAUSE I WANTED DONE BEFORE BLACKBIKE WEEK 05 IN MYRTLE BEACH S.C.
MWSR:
So when you first purchase the Box Chevy what were your plans for hookin up this gentle giant?
JAY:
TO BE
ONE OF THE HARDEST BOX OUT.
MWSR:
How long have you been hookin up your cars, and how many rides have you hooked up?
JAY:
EVER SINCE 15’’ MCLEAN SPOKES IF YALL KNOW BOUT THAT, THIS IS NUMBER 7, BUT THE BEST YET.
MWSR:
Where was all the work done on the car to make it look as good as it does now?
JAY:
IT WASN’T A BIG SHOP; MOST OF IT WAS DONE IN THE HOOD.
MWSR:
With the Box Chevy having such small tires whats the ride like, I bet its hell on bumps?
JAY:
IT’S ALRIGHT, BUT NOT THE BEST.
MWSR:
What is the reaction when you pull up some were. How do your friends and family feel about it? I’m sure trips around town turn into an event!
JAY:
IT’S CRAZY BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE SURPRISED HOW HIGH IT IS AND HOW AN OLD CAR LOOKS THIS GOOD. THEY LOVE IT!!! YEAH THEY DO. ON A SUNNY DAY I JUST BRING IT OUT TO RIDE AND WATCH EVERYBODY BREAK THEIR NECKS TRYING TO SEE IT.

I know the Blue Lights turn on when you pass, what is their reaction? (Any tickets)
JAY:
JUST ABOUT EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT. I GOT TWO SO FAR. ONE FOR THE BLUE LIGHTS ON MY TV AND THAT WAS $275 AND ONE FOR MY MUSIC THAT WAS $1087.

Have you showcased the Chevy in any shows since it was done?
JAY:
YEAH, JUST LOCAL SHOWS, BUT I WANT TO GET IN SOME MAGS & VIDEOS.
MWSR:
What type of paint did you go with and what made you chose that?
JAY:
2-TONE KANDY VIOLET. I CHOOSE IT BECAUSE OF THE NERD’S CANDY BOX

What other plans do you have for the Chevy in the future?
JAY:
DIGITAL DASH & A 454 BIGBLOCK

You truly changed the theme car game with this one, what if some one brings out another Box Chevy Nerds theme what would you do?
JAY:
I’LL PUT IT UP FOR SALE AND DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
