Let me first say WHY, what made you build a
Cutlass don’t you see enough of them on the streets?
Ya, but i dont ever see em done up right, everyone does up
the 70-79s but, im all about the g-body
When did you purchase the Cutty and how long did the process take in
fixing it up?
I got the car off my grandmother who past away 2 years ago.
Its taken 3 years to fix up, with more to come
So when you first purchase the Cutty what was your plans and Idea’s
for putting this bright kandy apple high riser on the road?
I wasnt sure what color to go with, and i really didnt want
what everone else had, so i picked the green and it just stuck with
me, then i saw how everyone was doing it down south, so i said fuck
it we can do it up here to.
How long have you been hookin up your cars, and how many rides have
you hooked up?
Actually this is my first car that i done up, with plans of
doin another.
A few years back lil wheels were the rim of choice and was the best
thing to ride. What happen to change that and turn people to ridin
big?
People want to see diferent things, and im sick of seeing the
same thing on the streets, Plus u know how it goes " Bigger is
Better".
Where was all the work done on the car and what had to be done to
get the 24’s to fit?
Everything but the lift was done up at Dj's Autobody &
Graphics in Naptown. They do good work for the right price. And the
lift was done by my me and my Godfather, jeff sircy
What is the reaction when you pull up some were. How do your friends
and family feel about it? I’m sure trips to the gas station turn
into an event!
MAN!!!!!!! People freak out, they always ask, "is that 4
wheel drive", my parents love it and back me up 100%.......
I know the Blue Lights turn on when you pass, what is there
reaction? (any tickets)
I got pulled over backing out my driveway, they said my shit
was to high, but they let me go with a warning
Have you showcased the Cutty in any shows since it was done?
Ya, i do alot of shows during the summer, so if anyone in Nap
wants to see it just hit up the local shows this summer.
What type of paint did you go with and what made you chose that?
The limetime house of kolor candy, its just looks like a wet
green jolly rancher in the sun, and i just wanted to be diferent
As far as the rims what kind are they and why did you chose those?
24" milanni voodoo, i saw em in the magazine and wanted
something to look good with a dust cover behind them
What other plans do you have for the Cutty in the future?
Right now, im in the process of doin the dash, and
fiberglassin the doors with speakers and tv's
How do you feel about ridin around town in a cutty that im sure back
in the day some kid dident want to be dropped off in the front of
school because they was to cool to be seen in that?
Im a 80's baby, so its my year, but now who wouldnt want to
be droped off in it!. plus i have always loved the g-body's
Do you think you will ever part ways or sell this true high riser?
Prolly not, there's so much more i want to do to it.
Any people you want to thank for making this CUTTY what is today
friends etc.
First off. i want to thank my Grandma fo not gettin rid of
it, cause i wanted since i was 13, my mom and dad, Jeff sircy for
puttin up with all the bitchin in the garage. Scott at Dj's Autobody
for all that he did. And last the Yung Vets 317 Car Club for backin
me. And not to forget the whole Midwest Street Ryders family for
doing something for the Midwest.... Keep doin the damn thing!
Well let me tell you thanks, and I’m sure after this you got people
back in the lab coming up with something to throw at you. But the
quest to be King of g-body Cutty’s just stopped here and you are
wearing the crown. From all of us at Midwest Street Ryders keep
ridin CLEAN and pushing the LIMITS. Once again folks, I’ll tell you
it’s High riser Cutty’s on 24’s! Come wetter or don’t come at all! |
